Goal and Purpose of this Blog

I'm an avid reader of many blogs.  I understand and appreciate the concept, and define that concept as a person's published opinion.  However, some bloggers attempt to pass themselves off insiders and even journalists.  When they do so I believe they have an obligation to uphold the tenets of journalism.  When a blogger takes advantage of the lack of oversight I think they should be called out publicly.  Generally commenters are very good at this, and I've participated.  That statement leads me to create this blog.  ProFootballTalk.com is the epitomy of the definition I have outlined with one HUGE caveat.

They, and Mike Florio in particular, suppress dissenting comments.  I personally have had at least 50% of all my comments rejected, and I do not feel any are outside the bounds of responsible decorum.  I cannot be alone.

Frankly I'm tired of the crusades, self righteousness, rabid speculation, inconsistency and a gleeful attitude toward calling out legitimate members of the press for violating the same tenets PFT ignores.

So, because PFT refuses to allow criticism in their comments then I will make my comments here.  Let's have some fun.
