What Exactly Consitutes Flooded?

The closest definition of the word flooded, as it pertains to this recent PFT post, is this:  

To fill with an abundance or an excess

Florio really wants to make sure you understand that it's not he that thinks NFL games are fixed, but an abundance or excess of fans that think NFL games are fixed.  Surely this would bear out in the outpouring of comments supporting his claims.  Right?

Wrong.  The post has been available for comment for over 5 hours now, and there have been a total of 7¹ supporting comments.  No more than 1 in 6 of all total comments, and many of which simply question Florio's intention in the post.  In fact there are more posts questioning the integrity of PFT than there are questioning the integrity of the NFL and the referees.

Holy crap.
